Korean Air WI-FIPricing Plan
Korean Air will start offering in-flight Wi-Fi service on international routes, beginning with the Boeing 737-8 aircraft starting from June 1st. The Boeing 737-8, equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi, will initially be deployed on short-haul routes such as Gimpo to Osaka, Incheon to Fukuoka, and Incheon to Osaka. This will be followed by an expansion to various aircraft models including Airbus A321neo and Boeing 787, gradually offering the service on all international routes.
Korean Air has designed the Wi-Fi service to provide customers with options based on their needs during air travel. The service plans are divided into "Internet" and "Messaging" categories, with pricing differentiated according to flight distance and service usage time. For example, on short-haul routes to Japan or China, using text messaging apps like KakaoTalk or Line will incur a fee of $4.95. On long-haul routes to the United States, Europe, and other destinations, customers can enjoy web browsing, photo and video sharing, and streaming of videos or music up to 480p quality for a duration of 2 hours for $10.95, or opt for unlimited usage for $20.95.
Passengers can access the in-flight Wi-Fi service by selecting their desired service and making the payment through a dedicated purchase site accessible after boarding the aircraft. However, please note that the use of Wi-Fi service will be restricted during takeoff and landing.
